The popular West Haven diner is collecting monetary donations — along with blankets and clothes – for those affected by the quake. Written by Michael P. Walsh WEST HAVEN, CT — Mayor Nancy R. Rossi is urging the support of a relief effort mobilized by a popular city diner for the survivors of this week's catastrophic earthquake in Turkey. Elm Diner at 111 Elm St. is collecting monetary donations — as well as donations of blankets and clothes, including hats, gloves and scarves — for those affected by the quake.
